I extend a hearty welcome to this podcast. This podcast will be an inspiration to others too. Other regional language podcasts too will take birth. Blogging and podcasting will no longer be handicapped by the barriers imposed by the English language. The creative energies and talents of millions of educated Indians who are better at expressing themselves in Hindi or other regional languages will get a boost. Podcasting will now reach out to a much wider group of people, not just the English knowing among the Indian people.

I have just downloaded the first three episodes and listened to a small snatch for a few minutes and was enthralled. I will listen to with complete attention at the earliest opportunity and I look forward to more of these podcasts.

A few questions:

How do I type my comments in Hindi like the comments I have been reading.

Hindi is not my native language . Even though my Hindi is not too good, I wish to make an attempt at writing comments in Hindi. Do I need any special software?

I know how to use ILeap developed by CDAC, Pune and also Baraha software for typing in regional languages of India using the English Qwerty keyboard. Can I cut and paste from these applications?

Can the text size of the comments be increased? I find it difficult to read. The fonts are too small. I tried View-->Text Size-->Largest in Internet explorer and it did not work.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Best wishes to Debashish and Shashi and congratulations on a real innovation.
This podcast deserves wide support and I will do my bit in spreading the good news and giving it wide publicity.

Debashish Replied: We cannot express how happy we are to receive a comment on our Hindi podcast from a person whose native language is not Hindi. You are so right in saying that language is no more a barrier and technology has done that. Isn't it so good that a Bengali & a Bihari are producing a Hindi Podcast that a Kannadiga is listening & praising :) I agree that Podcasting is a great means, more powerful than the written word because it reaches so many more people who cannot read/write the language but can understand it.

I appreciate your interest in writing Hindi, Baraha is a great tool to write Hindi and as you said you can copy paste stuff. If you are bit geeky you can go for Indic IME. I use Takhti http://www.geocities.com/hanu_man_ji. If you can manage to read Hindi, there are very good resources at our wiki http://akshargram.com/sarvagya.

On your suggestion we have increased the font size of the website.
